Embrace the Brave

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid: do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.  -Joshua 1:9

Ever catch yourself dreaming of something you're too afraid to try? Those aspirations that whisper, "What if?" but are stifled by feelings of inadequacy? Today, let's shatter the chains of fear and step into bravery, not just for ourselves but for God. Living a Christian life that impacts those around us may feel uncomfortable, even risky. It's about stepping out of the predictable and trusting God for the outcome, be it in workplaces, neighborhoods, or churches.

So, how is God calling you to be brave? Maybe it's inviting a neighbor to dinner, reaching out to a coworker, or finding your voice in conversations. Perhaps it's leading a Bible study, venturing into a new ministry, or connecting with another mom in your neighborhood. Fear, the silent robber of joy and faith, paralyzes us. Being brave isn't the absence of fears; it's the audacity to act despite them.

In moments of hesitation, find strength in the promise that God is with us wherever we go. We're never alone in our pursuits, never reliant on our own power. Whatever God calls you to do, remember, you're not called to do it alone. "Be strong and courageous... For the Lord, your God will be with you wherever you go." Let's embrace the brave together and step confidently into God's call.

Heavenly Father, grant me the courage to step out in faith today. I'm no longer content with a comfortable or predictable Christian life. I yearn to be brave, not out of my strength but because of my unwavering trust in You. Remind me that wherever You lead, Your empowering presence accompanies me, enabling me for the tasks ahead. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
